The Opportunity

Kraker Inc. (d.b.a. K&D Electric) is seeking a skilled Lead Commercial Journeyman Electrician & Regional Field Lead to direct commercial electrical installations, power distribution builds, and service upgrades across Georgia.

In this autonomous field leadership role, you will take ownership of ground-up commercial builds, multi-phase electrical services, switchgear installations, and heavy conduit routing across regional project sites. Working directly from architectural prints and MEP schematics, you will execute high-spec electrical installations, supervise field apprentices, and coordinate directly with general contractors and regional electrical inspectors. If you bring a valid Journeyman License, deep National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge, and a track record of running clean commercial electrical builds, Kraker Inc. provides high-tier hourly pay, steady project pipelines, and the operational backing to build a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Power Systems Installation: Lead the hands-on layout, installation, and termination of commercial 3-phase power distribution systems, main service panels, switchgear, transformers, and branch circuitry.
  • Conduit & Raceway Engineering: Measure, precision-bend, thread, and route commercial conduit architectures—including EMT, rigid conduit, IMC, and flexible raceway networks—safely and efficiently.
  • Blueprint & Schematic Navigation: Read, interpret, and build directly from commercial architectural drawings, structural prints, single-line diagrams, and MEP specification manuals.
  • Diagnostic Troubleshooting & Testing: Perform electrical diagnostics, circuit tracing, and equipment troubleshooting using advanced meters to resolve site power issues efficiently.
  • Apprentice Supervision & Site Safety: Direct, mentor, and supervise on-site apprentice electricians, enforcing strict adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations and OSHA jobsite safety standards.
  • Material Logistics & Stock Control: Audit engineering prints to compile daily material lists, organize tool loads, and manage supply logistics to eliminate jobsite downtime.
  • Contractor & Inspector Relations: Act as a technical, reliable on-site liaison for Kraker Inc., coordinating professionally with general contractors, field superintendents, and municipal building inspectors.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required

  • Trade Credentialing: Valid State Electrical Journeyman License, completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program, or equivalent documented commercial field experience.
  • Commercial Field Tenure: Proven track record executing ground-up commercial construction, industrial systems, or high-end commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects.
  • NEC & Code Mastery: Comprehensive working knowledge of current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industrial safety methodologies.
  • Schematic Literacy: Ability to analyze and execute directly from electrical line diagrams, commercial blueprints, and control schematics.
  • Mobility & Regional Travel: Willingness and capability to travel across regional project deployments from Greater Atlanta through South Georgia.
  • Driver Credentials: Valid driver license with an insurable driving record to operate company service vehicles.

Preferred

  • Safety Certifications: Active OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
  • Equipment Credentials: Certification or experience operating scissors lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Hourly Rate: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour based on electrical licensure and commercial field background, with steady overtime earning opportunities.
  • Travel & Fleet Support: Regional travel support, corporate fleet backing, and specialized tool allowances provided.
  • Financial Security: Access to corporate retirement savings plans and structured internal performance bonuses.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage options.
  • Work-Life Balance: Paid Time Off (PTO) allocations covering holidays, vacation days, and personal sick leave.
  • Professional Investment: Continuous access to advanced technical skill training, specialized tools, and high-quality safety gear.
