Distribution Center Worker IThe Distribution Center Worker I position supports the daily operations of the Distribution Center by performing essential tasks related to receiving. This entry-level role is focused on executing assigned duties accurately and efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform general distribution center tasksAssist with unloading and loading trucksUse warehouse management systems (WMS) to process incoming and outgoing goodsInspect incoming products for quantity and part number accuracyDistribute products to designated storage areas (ASRS, conventional)Follow WMS instructions at workstations to complete tasksPick and pack customer orders with attention to detailPrepare shipments according to WMS directions and shipping guidelinesOperate hand trucks and other equipment (training provided)Maintain a clean and organized work areaFollow safety procedures and company policiesPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or managerQualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. requiredDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracyBasic computer skills and willingness to learn WMSAbility to work well in a team environmentStrong work ethic and reliabilityWillingness to follow instructions and learn new processesCommitment to safety and customer satisfactionEssential Job FunctionsMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Must be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to work flexible hours/overtime when necessary, including weekendsMust be extremely professional, ethical, and customer-focusedRegular and on-time attendancePerks & BenefitsPhoenix Contact offers a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k matching, and a generous time off package.
